Impact Hub Manila to Hold Benefit Concert for Marawi City

Sindaw Maranaw: A Benefit Concert for Marawi is set on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Impact Hub HQ, Bonifacio Global City


Manila Philippines – Impact Hub Manila will hold a benefit concert called “Sindaw Maranaw” on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Impact Hub Manila HQ, Bonifacio Global City. The concert will be for the benefit of those affected by the Marawi crisis.

According to the Department of Social and Welfare Development (DSWD), 78,466 families or 359, 680 people have been displaced by clashes between government troops and terrorists in Marawi City.

It has been more than a year since the Battle of Marawi ended. Despite this, efforts to recover from the physical and emotional devastation it left behind are still ongoing. Sindaw Maranaw is a fundraising concert to help sustain ongoing operations in Marawi.

Several Filipino singers and bands will be performing at the concert, such as Ja Quintana, Ajie Aboganda, Fern Tan and Swallowed By The Whale.  Impact Hub Manila has also invited several speakers such as Farah Ghodsinia, Founder and Director of Children of Marano; Undersecretary Abdulgani Macatoman, Special Concerns, Department of Trade and Industry; Monci Hinay, Project Manager, WWF Philippines; and Oliver Pe, Founder, Marawi Library Hub Program. The speakers will be sharing their experiences on how they are helping rebuild and rehabilitate Marawi through their various programs and projects.
