Bank of America and Impact Hub Asia Pacific to Announce Select Participants of the Accelerate Program

After a competitive application process, Impact Hub Asia Pacific and Bank of America have announced the final cohort of promising entrepreneurs who have made it to the Accelerate Program. The program supports impact-driven entrepreneurs throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

As proponents of innovation, Impact Hub Asia Pacific and Bank of America understand that even the most innovative may lack the resources and guidance to bring their ideas to fruition. To add to that hindrance, the global pandemic has brought about a lot of uncertainty. Entrepreneurs need more support than ever to effect positive change.

That is why Impact Hub Asia Pacific and Bank of America launched the Accelerate Program.

Through Accelerate, entrepreneurs will get to experience six months of tailored professional guidance that breaks down the main obstacles faced by early-stage enterprises. This will empower entrepreneurs to scale their ideas so that they reach a global audience.

On Friday, July 2, from 12 noon to 2 p.m., Impact Hub conducted a Regional Community Day. It invited all who applied to the Accelerate Program to join the event through Zoom and Impact Hub Manila’s Facebook Live.

Beyond the Accelerate cohort announcement, the event was a lively networking and community mixer. That means those who didn’t make the program, and even those who didn’t apply, still gained sought-after advice from the line-up.

Impact Hub’s regional lead for Asia Pacific Ces Rondario opened the ceremony. The keynote speech given was given by Neha Kapoor Bharadwaj, the environmental and social governance lead of Bank of America in India, highlighting the global scale of the program. No matter what stage in the innovation process they were in, entrepreneurs found inspiration through these talks.

Participants got to listen in on a fireside chat with Accelerate partner and leading e-commerce platform Shopify. The guest speaker was Shopify community manager Julian Bartram, with the chat moderated by Impact Hub Jakarta CEO Daniel Tumewu.

The chats and talks provided a glimpse of the industry insights Accelerate members can expect to gain from the program. Alongside this, viewers will catch sight of the activities curated by the participating Impact Hub Asia Pacific for the Accelerate Program.

Rounding out the event was the live announcement of the Accelerate Program cohort. For the selected participants, this was the beginning of an exciting six-month journey with Impact Hub Asia Pacific and Bank of America.
